Cycling in/around Roquemaure and Plazac
 

We are traveling to France mid-June thru mid-July - staying 1 week each in 4 differing locations. These are: Calvi, Roquemaure, Plazac and Paris.

I would loooove to get in a day's ride in or around Roquemaure (near Avignon) and also Plazac (near Bordeaux). Given our plans (at best) I could squeeze in one day's ride at each of these locations.

If ones have done this and can provide specifics (web link or store names) on bike shops in these areas wherein I can rent a bike and helmet - I would much appreciate it. I plan to pack a kit and my shoes ... just need a helmet and bike. I've looked into some of the tour companies, but being as I can only do one day, these do not really cater to this type rental.

I would loooove to do a tour, but the wife has things for both of us to do too :)

The only place you mention that I know well is Plazac, which is not IMO "near Bordeaux" - it's 170 kms to the east in the Périgord Noir. There is no bike rental facility that I'm aware of there. The closest would be MONTI'BIKE in Montignac, 11 kms away. Or you could check campgrounds in or around Plazac, but the quality of campsite bikes isn't often good.
