Customs Question?
 
We are flying from Milan to Paris and then Atlanta Ga. Do we have to go through customs again in Paris?

Hi L,

You will go through Customs in ATL.

You will also go through Immigration in ATL.

You will go through Security at CDG, which is worse than the above.

Stay calm. Don't experct things to go as planned.

Milan-Paris is a flight inside Schengen area, so no customs there. You'll have to pass your first customs control in CDG.

Let's make the distinction between passport control (i.e. immigration) and customs clear.

You have to go through passport control in Paris, as you're leaving Schengen there. And two security screenings. One general, and one specific for flights departing to the US. [This is standard for all flights to the US since August 06.]

Of course, US immigration and customs in Atlanta.
