The determination to not carry a "Purse" is really more for me. I like to be able to have my hands free to take photos, shop eat street food etc. So I thought a cross body bag would fit that bill just great. Not thinking I will be an easy target, I live in Hawaii and am in real estate (and own a small antique store) so I go through some rugged neighborhoods with some large "Locals" and have never felt uncomfortable, but again this is home and I speak the language.
Good tip on the ATM, so what I understand is that I should draw the maximum allowed at each visit as to not be charged more in service fees?
I dont use one here at home so I am not fimiliar with using an ATM machine (I know where have I been the last 20 years), but I am old fashioned and write checks for my bills and carry cash for what I need.
