Current Recs for accommodations near Glencoe

Hello Everyone, Thank you for all your help so far with our spring vacation. We have expanded the trip to 11 days to make it less pressured. We have settled on 2 nights on Rhum, 4 nights on Mull and 4 nights in Glencoe area. We are using Glencoe as a base to take Jacobite steam train one day, drive to Granton on Spey one day and then maybe Killin / Stirling another day. I have put in enquiries at several hotels but was looking for some feedback. I have looked at Moor of Rannoch but i am not in love with being that far from the actual mountains. The Bridge of Orchy looks very interesting, I am waiting for their response about accommodations. The two other places I was looking at was the King's House Hotel and the Clachaig Inn. What I really want is someplace I can go for a walk for a couple of hours right from the hotel and up into the hills. I like the idea of live music on site at the Clachaig but it is low rated by trip advisor.

I'd choose the Clachaig myself. I have NO idea what you mean by low rated.

As of today the ratings are:

Excellent - 169
Very good - 135
Average - 79
Poor - 26
Terrible -22

303 Excellent/Very Good vs. 48 Poor/terrible.

I stayed at the Clachaig Inn a few years ago. The rooms were basic but fine for our purposes. There are two lively pubs on the premises and the location is perfect for the kind of walks you envision. I would stay there again.

The Clachaig.

Another vote for The Clachaig. Nothing fancy, but good pubs (and grub), and walks nearby.

I stayed here, it is next to the Clachaig (10 minute walk) http://glencoe-cottages.co.uk/ They also have 2 B&B rooms. The east cottage is a little set back from the other 3 and right on the river. We needed the kitchen so booked a cottage, but you may not want that.
