CURRENT Marbella info needed!
 

Hi,<BR><BR>I've planned a 5-night stay at the Marbella Club in a few weeks as a nice bit of R&R after touring inland.<BR><BR>Now I read that the entire Saudi royal family is staying in the area!!! Has anybody been to Marbella (preferably staying at the Marbella Club or Puente Romano) SINCE AUGUST 15? I would really like to know if you were still able to enjoy your stay - crowds, unpleasant atmosphere at the beach, pools etc.<BR><BR>Before anyone calls me a racist, you should know that I grew up in Geneva and was there a few weeks ago when the royals were in town, so I know what I'm talking about...<BR><BR>Here's hoping I don't have to redo my itinerary on such short notice!<BR><BR>Andre

Hi Andre,<BR>I doubt if it will disrupt anything as they have their own very private, guarded compound on the "Golden Mile" between Marbella and Puerto Banus, right below their Mosque. They'll be ensconced there, I suspect, and not out and about.

Would you share with me any responses? My daughter and I will be staying for 3 days at the Westin resort in Marbella prior to our travel to Madrid.

I doubt all 12,000 members of the Saudi Royal Family are staying there at the same time.
