Culture week in Italy - when??

Does anyone know when Cultural Week in Italy is this year? The Italian site still has May 2007 dates posted - just curious if anyone knows anything.

Thanks

Last year's in mid-May was announced by the Cultural Affairs Department at the beginning of April. You may have to wait a while for this year's dates...

Hello poorlittlepinkus,

the cultural week from 25 to 31 of March, during the week you'll have free entrance in all Archologic Sites, Museum, Gallery, Library.

Here is the link of Ministry of Cultural Property but sorry is only in Italian www.beniculturali.it.

If you need more info let me know.

ciao Mauro Roma

Since I can't read Italian can you please tell me what this includes in Rome, Florence, Pisa and Venice.

Thanks so much.

http://www.beniculturali.it/settiman...oghi/index.asp

sorry the the long link, but if you go to this page and click on the link "Ricerca Luoghi" it should give you a map. Click on the region you want, then the city, for Grandi Eventi it should already be X Settimana della Cultura 2008. Once you get a list choose between Mostra = exhibition, Apertura Straordinaria = places that open only for a day, usually not open to the public (I already found the Odescalchi Chapel in Rome very tempting!)
