the plug adapters are available in what places/stores? in spain?

adrienne Jun 7th, 2009 07:06 AM

You buy them here in Walmart type stores, hardware stores, travel stores. They're all over the place. I'm sure you can buy them on the internet.

I would not wait until you get to Spain to buy one as you are not familiar with the stores there.

mom/son: I think you meant to post this as a response on your original thread http://www.fodors.com/community/euro...n-361251-2.cfm

As Adrienne says - you can buy them lots and lots of places where you live.

Oh - now I see you just did . . . . .

Often the plugs come in kits with about 5 different plugs. You want the one for Europe. My local hardware store sells them individually or in packages.

I would buy 2 plugs for Europe so you have a spare as sometimes people forget to take them out of the AC outlet. That's how I got my extra Europe adapter! If you just grab the cord of your device and give it a yank to remove it from the wall you'll leave the adapter in the wall and won't think about it since you're not used to using one.

If you can find a Wal-Mart (hard to imagine), every Radio Shack in the country will carry this type of adapter. As Adrienne mentioned, they come in multi-country kits.

Sorry, meant to say "if you can't find a Wal-Mart"
