Thanks sassafrass. I will check as I wasn't
aware there was a section for cruising Still new at this site so glad of your advise |
Fossil41, In case you came back to this post, a couple of things.
Be sure to select the cruise before you book airfare because many cruises that do the Greek Islands start or end in Italy (Venice or Rome) or Turkey. Your daughter should really think about the experience she wants. A cruise is a cruise experience and that is fun, but you don't have long evenings sitting in a cafe on an island in the evening, or sitting around a pool at a hotel looking at the view. On the cruise, you do have lovely sunsets, and great ports of call, but you are on each island only during the day and back on the ship for dinner and shows at night. |
Sorry, forgot the other thing I wanted to post for your daughter.
For cruises, to get an idea of what is available, go to vacationstogo and look at their 90 day sticker. You have to join, but it is a safe site. To see what is available after that, fill in the form at the bottom of the web site. It will then give you every cruise for your date and destination. Also, go to cruisecritic.com for reviews of cruises, ships, ports of call, etc. After she books, she can join the roll call for her ship on cruisecritic and get together with other cruisers to do shore excursions, etc. There are also several real experts on the cruise forum here on Fodors. |
