Cruising (not sailing) in Croatia..worried about noise

I'm thinking of doing an eight day cruise on a 'deluxe' boat rather than a cheaper party boat, given I'll be 60 I thought that was a good choice! However, in the blurb from the cruise company they mention that boats have to raft up together at night when you dock at the islands. I'm concerned mainly about noise, how do you know what the boats are going to be like that you raft up against and also I'm a bit concerned about security. Apparently you have to cross over the boats to get to shore and I'm concerned people will be coming back at all hours potentially crossing our boat whilst I'm trying to sleep, or just having a good old sticky beak in the boat while we're gone.

Has any one done a Select a cruise or Croatia Cruise trip and can they tell me is the noise an issue? Or do they separate the party boats from the old folks boat ,!

The other way is to do out own thing, but that sounds like quite a lot of work linking the ferries and the buses etc.

Any info would be most appreciated, thanks.

oh good question
we just got back from the greek islands ...sailed ourselves

the noise around marinas is what I hate
and the light

the music from island clubs pumps away into the night in Greece

and the lights just beat down even through the tiniest of cracks in the curtains

but I don't remember any noise when we did the same thing in Croatia

I hate hate hate tying up to other boats
we did this in Greece...once in naxos cos there was not space at marina
I hated clambering and being dependent on others to help and steady things
I have a bad knee so cant be all that independent unlike my kids and husband who clambered around like monkeys

we stayed in the marina in hvar in Croatia..which was quiet despite being world cup season
vis was quieter
and we stayed on milna twice
which is very quiet
we visited brac but didn't stay overnight and also visited supertar

security was terrible in greece
we couldn't even ensure that our sailing boat was completely safe...anyone could've just come aboard and sailed off..we even rang the company asking about this aspect but they weren't concerned
mustn't happen then

the wifi is usuakky bery poor around marinas..u might need to get to a café...don't know if it improves on a cruiser

my g/f went on a cruise around Croatia...on a big skippered yacht and loved it..they looked after everything
hopefully your experience will be the same
