Cruising in France in October
We are planning a river cruise in October. I have read the previous post an we are looking for new information. Does anyone have anything to say about these tours.......Viking or Uniworld? Information seems to be sketchy at best and we really need some help. If anyone has done either one of these cruises would you please give us a "Heads Up"? We are totally lost and we would love a positive report on one or the other. Thanks, Hunter

What do you want to know? I went on a Uniworld South of France/Provence wine-themed cruise this past summer. It was wonderful.

Cherie, Glad to find this post but too bad no further info; I guess Shanart didn't go! ANyway, we're booked on Uniworld's "Connoisseur's Provence" Rhone River cruise on the brand new 2006 ship "River Royale" this Sept 21. We begin in Arles and end in Lyon. Tell us more...food, shore excursions (interesting vs. boring), much free time to explore towns along the way, comfy cabins, service...thx!

Take a look at my Trip Report on my Viking River cruise to Normandy/Paris.

Bigal: Here it is
http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=34811035 The way to do it is - bring up the thread in questions and then click on the thread's title. That will bring up the url of the specific thread . . . . |

I postd a response to your questions to me on the Uniworld Cruise thread. If I can answer any more questions let me hear from you. If this medium is too tedious I would be willing to share my e-mail address. Don |
janisj.......thanks for the way to do it. But it looks like the party who started this thread is long gone as far as getting back here.

Got it Don, and thx to Bigal and Cherie for posting, even after the originator never came back! I'm on a different thread now for gathering info!
