Crossair, Corsair, Swissair? What?

Have they all combined? I thought I was buying tickets on Crossair and they came back Swissair and this was Friday. Anyone know before I call them and make a fool of myself? Thanks.

Crossair was the little regional airline that had the better balance sheet (and management); Swissair was the larger international airline that over-extended itself with Sabena, Quali-flyer miles and who knows what other problems - - went bankrupt - - but the country of Switzerland wasn't going to go without an airline. So the best of Crossair and what was left of Swissair have been merged, re-capitalized and emerged as simply "Swiss".

Corsair never had anything to do with any of them, as far as I know. It's a small regional Mediterranean (French) airline.

Best wishes,

Rex
Swissair is dead. Crossair has been renamed to just SWISS and has taken over much of Swissair's routes. I bet your ticket just says 'Swiss' with a flight designator of LX [Crossairs former designator] The old SR is gone. The MIGHT be using up old Swissair ticket stock, but as long as the flight designator is LX you should have no concerns.

Thanks, I will go and check, but I know it does say Swiss. Whew. I got them through Economytravel and had never used them before, so I was a little concerned.
