Cross Stitch shops in London

Hello:

We will be visiting London in May. I'm trying to locate a cross stitch/needlework shop in London. We are staying in the Kensington area, but will travel a little ways on a bus or Tube. I tried looking on-line but couldn't find anything.

Thanks!
Katie

Thanks!

You might try the WH1 Tapastry shop on Pimlico Rd #85..in the south Kensington area. There's another on the King's Rd near Chelsea Town Hall

I believe the big department stores, especially John Lewis (on Oxford Street, near Oxford Circus), have that sort of thing in their haberdashery depts.

Hi
Not quite what you asked, but I have used a brilliant website called www.sewandsew.co.uk
They have an amazing range, cheaper than in the shops, and an internet order I placed one lunchtime was delivered to my house the next day.
It will be fun to look at the designs on offer...........

If you are doing a day trip to Hampton Court Palace, the Royal School of Needlework is located there .

Liberty's has the most wonderful yarn/thread/needlepoint shop! I was just wandering through it completely unable to make a choice.
They are on Regent Street :)

Thanks for the quick replies! We are coming from the US and I'm hoping to get some patterns and supplies that aren't available here.
