Cross-Pollinate apartments for London? Any experience?

Anyone use Cross-Pollinate to obtain a London apartment? Seems like most people use it for Rome, but I see some nice-looking possibilities in London, such as this:

http://www.cross-pollinate.com/londo...oria-1-bedroom

However, the site has no reviews on London apts, and it doesn't even look like anyone has booked this apartment, ever, which is weird. I would want someone to vouch for their good name in London. Anyone use them for London?

Thanks,
Les Lapins

I used Cross-Pollinate a couple of years ago to book places in Venice and Rome. They were a completely legit company and responsive to emails. The places I stayed at via them were fine - in fact, I loved the apartment in Venice so much in 2007 that I went back to the same one in 2009, again booking with Cross-Pollinate. I've made a few other bookings that I had to cancel or change (within their explicit rules for cancellations) and everything worked out fine. I haven't used them for London, but I would use Cross-Pollinate again in a heartbeat.

I have no knowledge one way of the other. But you can safely ignore pascalem's post.

He registered to post than one 'warning' and then disappeared. He has never posted on Fodors before or since.

I booked a fabulous little apartment in Venice in 2009 from Cross-Pollinate and then again on the same trip at the last minute in Paris--turned out to be quite a large place (twice as big as the hotel room I had moved out of). Am reserved again with them for Venice for September (and same wonderful landlords as 2009). They are great and have many positive reviews on the internet. Steve, the owner, is very responsive to emails. They also have a US phone number but I think it's mainly for leaving messages. Steve (and his wife?) are Americans who own a hostel in Rome which is called the Beehive (I believe), and they do the apartment rentals as a side business.
