Croatia Tours

Am considering Atlas Tours and Travel Time for an escorted tour of Croatia. Anyone have any experience with these companies--or any other recommendations for that matter?

Thanks, Bill

what's the itinerary? buses and ferries are plentiful along the coast - you could do it on your own if you feel comfortable doing so.

I took a day long Atlas tour which was okay - great quick way to see the scenery, leaving the driving to someone else but it was a tour and at times felt like I was being herded.

If you're a tour kind of person, Atlas is a very good company. I spent two weeks in Croatia independently but took two of Atlas's day trips out of Dubrovnik; a wine tour and the trip to Montenegro. I wish I had time to take the Mostar trip. They were excellent.

Another vote for Atlas.
I used them from Dubvronik last September to go to Medugorje in Bosnia and have nothing but good things to say about them. They are well organised, reliable and pretty much cover Croatia. Buses and vans were clean and comfortable.

I can even give you the name and tel # of the specific agent located in the central square office in Dubvronik (if you're going there) who was very helpful and pleasant. She responded to e-mails very promptly and even called me at home prior to departure to ensure that all my reservations (accomodations and some flights) were confirmed. Let me know.

Thanks you all for your replies.

Mathieu: Would appreciate the email address of the agent you dealt with in Dubvronik. Email me at [email protected]

I second Grasshopper's thought about doing it independently. It is a very easy country to get around in and almost everyone speaks English. I travelled around this country for 2 weeks with ease. It is one of my favorite countries in the world!
