Yeah I will get back to you about my experience for sure, just need to find some time to write a report about it. Skipping Una is an OK decision I think. We were scared of an overkill of waterfalls etc, but Skrbacki Buk was actually one of the most stunning and impressive waterfalls. However, it is quite a struggle to get there (long unpaved road (7.5km) that feels like it takes hours) and onve you reach the waterfall you probably won't spend more than an hour there unless you plan to hike along the river and in the forest. We didn't stay in the area, so not sure what it is like to stay there. It probably deserves about 2 days if you want to explore the Martin Brod area as well, so I can understand skipping it due to lack of time.

Please spend at least one, if not two days in Zagreb before picking up your rental car. As already noted, you will be a danger to yourselves and everyone else on the road by trying to drive with jet lag.
Be sure you know what you are going to do with a car in any location you visit – parking could be a problem in some areas, and if available, it could cost a lot and be inconvenient.
If possible, visit Korcula on a night when you can see the moresca.

Yes kja, I have noted that point. Shall spend 1 or 2 nights at Zagreb before I set off.
Am planning to drop the car right when I reach Dubrovnik. Shall spend 4 nights without a car as I don't think it would make any sense.
Rest of the places, I will have to figure out the parking issue. So far i have been lucky in France and Germany.
Thanks for the tip on Moresca dance. Did some web search.
"it is performed regularly throughout the summer, particularly on Thursdays. On the evening we attended, the performance was preceded by an a capella women's group singing"
Don't know if that would be there in May 2017, as it is Spring time an off season.

Actually, you could easily drop the car at your first stop after the Plitvice Lakes -- the buses elsewhere in Croatia are comfortable and convenient. I, for one, would not want to have to give up the chance to see Croatia's spectacular coastal scenery (or to ask anyone else to give that up) -- and with a car, someone would have to make that sacrifice, as many of the roads require one's full attention.
I saw the moresca in Korcula in late May. I don't know the current schedule.
