We ended up just going to Korcula. Our catamaran from Korcula to Split (which stops in Hvar) was full. When we got to Hvar very few people got off so not that many could get on, there was a very long line of people left standing at the dock as we pulled out. I don't know if there were other options for those people that day or not. I know from Korcula it seemed like there was only one decent option (and it was at 6:30am!)
