Croatia help- from Plitvice to Mali Losinj
 

Hi all-

I am having to cut down on a more ambitious itinerary I had designed for a Northern Croatia trip, and I am needing advice on the best way to drive from Plitvice to Mali Losinj. Any idea of how long that takes? And what is the best route? Google maps says under 5 hours but I doubt that is true. I need to take a ferry, right? What is best?

Well yeah to get to an island you need to take a ferry, lol.
I think a mapping site is your best bet, but cross-referenced with the ferry schedules, which you can get at the Jadrolinija website. I think you can safely round up google maps times a bit.
Google maps is suggesting coming via Krk, which is connected to the mainland via a bridge, but then you need to check the ferry crossing times from Valbiska to Merag. Cres and Losinj are connected by a bridge.
I would also look at the mainland crossing to Cres at Brestova. Driving across Cres was quite beautiful.
Last, there is a very limited ferry crossing from Zadar to Mali Losinj. Check the dates on the ferry website.
