croatia and slovenia 29/10 - 06/11
hi, me and my friend are planing travel to croatia and slovenia at end of september - early november (29/10 - 06/11) for 7-8 days.
1. how the wheather is going to be? snow/rain? 2. what are the places that we should not visit? (closed/"dead"/too cold and etc) 3. what are the places that are recomenned to visit? we want to visit zagreb and dubrovnik both, we want to rent car. thank you. |
I would generally avoid islands and focus on Zagreb, Split, and Dubrovnik. I would certainly stop at Plitvice National Park en route.
Consult a weather website like wunderground for historic typical temps. |
So not the end of September, instead the end of October. Too bad. The weather's better earlier.
Most of the touristy destinations will be closed. Hence yorkshire's suggestion of the cities. You can add Ljubljana to the city list. Where will you pick up the car? If you pick it up in Croatia and drop it in Slovenia or vice versa, there's a significant surcharge for dropping in another country. |
For historic climate data, you can use timeanddate.com. I just looked up Zagreb; you can enter other cities – and should, as the climate in Zagreb will often be different than in Dubrovnik or other locations.
