We are planning a 2 week trip fall of 2006. Any thoughts on how to set up an itinerary?

Thanks but I'm not sure how to do that. I will repeat my question. Are there suggestions of an itinerary for a 2 week trip to Croatia?

Hi Jack, There have recently been some great trip reports for Croatia. You might start by doing a search and reading those (try typing croatia into the search box and see what comes up). That will give you some idea where to start.

For my trip, I started on Istria and then traveled by ferry to Dubrovnik. I flew from Dubrovnik to Zagreb and went on to Slovenia by train. Places you might want to consider including are Trogir, Split, Plitvichc (sp) with the hundreds of water falls, Hvar, Korcula.

After you've read some of the trip reports, come back with specific questions and you'll find lots of great help here.

Here's a good one to start with:

Ahhh... Croatia!! it is such a wonderful country! One of my absolute favorites!

You can view my Croatia photos at www.windjammer.smugmug.com.

When you get to my home page just click on the link for the Croatia album.

We started in Zagreb, rented a car and drove to Plitvice where we spent the day. From there we stayed on Rab Island in Rab Town, then Trogir, Hvar and Dubrovnik. Ours was a 2 week trip last year and it was perfect!

I will dig up my trip report for you later.

Cheers!

Tamara

I think Split, Hvar, Dubrovnik is a good starter tour.
