Creditcard Annual Membership Fees/FF Miles

My Midwest Express M/C annual fees have gone up to $70/yr. Are there any cards I can accrue FF miles with no annual fees?

I see this message :"top" or "topping" all the time. What does it mean?

Jenna, topping means a quick post that will make the subject go to the head of the messages again. It's usually done if no one responds for a while, so the original message doesnt get lost into oblivion.

Starwood American Express card is a good value. Starwood hotels include: Sheraton, Westin, W, St. Regis, and Four Points. There's a bonus for signing up for the card, but I don't remember for how much. Earn one point for each dollar charged. The annual fee is waived for the first year; $30 for additional years.

Marriott VISA. I think the annual fee is $35 -- could be mistaken, but the it's close to that. Earn one point per dollar spent. For dollars spent at a Marriott, earn three points. Marriott includes Renaissance Hotels, Residence Inns, Fairfield Inns, and some others.

If you charge a lot, why not have free hotel rooms with your free travel.

I had the problem with my United card after the free year. I was not thrilled with the fee. I told the rep that I wanted to terminate the card. She offered my the card fee free but I would earn miles at $2 to 1 mile vs $1 to 1.
I figured it was worth it to me at no cost, you can always ask the copmany.
