credit card settlement

Whatever happened to the settlement for everyone who used their credit card in foreign countries between 2005 (or sooner) and 2007? I remember sending in my information but I never received any check.

I went to a great deal of trouble to itemize my expenses and I haven't heard anything either. Very frustrating.

Still in process. Perhaps the final stages. Richard www.ccfsettlement.com

No shock, I am never again going to bother to respond to one of the class actions suits.

Just today I received a check for $1.21 from the Expedia Hotel Taxes and Fees Class Action Settlement. I can't even remember when I sent in the form.

P_M Jun 21st, 2010 04:30 PM

Me neither LoveItaly, it was a complete waste of time.

bettyk Jun 21st, 2010 04:34 PM

It certainly wasn't a waste of time for the lawyers.

krgystn Jun 21st, 2010 04:39 PM

it is a big scam by the lawyers, under the guise of 'helping the public.'

allisonm Jun 21st, 2010 04:44 PM

I was thinking about this the other day! No check here, either.

janisj Jun 21st, 2010 04:44 PM

>>John Edwards and the rest of the lawyers got most of it.<<

No payments have been made to the lawyers or anyone.

After the final settlement/appeals are dealt w/ the checks will eventually go out.

bratsandbeer Jun 21st, 2010 04:45 PM

I have my papers in the pending file and expect a big fat check - yeah right!!!

This is from the website iris gave:
The deadline for submitting an objection to the settlements is June 11, 2010. The date for the hearing on final approval of the settlements is July 15, 2010.

iris1745 Jun 21st, 2010 04:47 PM

Actually, took five minutes on-line to file option B, so it wasn't like it was time consuming to file. Option C was more intensive to file. The lawyers had their kitty and we have ours, three hundred and twenty million or so. Many more filed than was anticipated, so the refunds will be smaller. We shall see. Richard

I received my CCF settlement check today!! Not enough for my next trip (too many other slugs applied thus reducing MY share >) )

$18.04 . . . Yippee :P (option B)

P_M Nov 17th, 2011 04:17 AM

I'm so happy for you janisj, what will you do with the money? Don't spend it all in one place. :-)

Still waiting on my big check.

annhig Nov 17th, 2011 07:32 AM

it certainly wasn't a waste of time for the lawyers>>

"lawyers children also eat" - as i tell my clients.

it was obvious that the payouts were not going to be huge.
