Sorry, I was not accurate with my terminology; we originally had an ATM card and changed to a debit card before leaving for Spain on the advice of a North Fork Bank lower echelon officer. They were told (more than once, and at two locations) of our plans. We were assured eveything would be fine. We luckily had our Washington Mutual Debit card with us and were able to transfer funds via our computer. Just thought I might warn someone else who may be relying on North Fork Bank access to their USA funds.
