Creamted remains transport US to Orly

I contacted the French Embassy who told me to just be sure the remains where in a TSA approved container and to have the death certificate with me. My two biggest concers are: 1) getting through security at IAD and 2) getting through customs/immigration at Orly. If I encounter any kind of problem what am I to do with my mother's ashes? Looking for someone with recent experience in transporting remains to France. Thank you.

I brought my father back to France in a cardboard box in the suitcase. Actually, the suitcase was lost in Dallas for a day, but I didn't tell my mother. Naturally, I did have a certificate with me, but I did not inform anybody about what I was transporting. I prefer to play stupid if necessary, and it has always worked quite well for me. (I probably look stupid.)

I think this is a happens-every-day non-issue. My Mother carried my father's ashes onto a plane. The person at ex-ray simply said "is this what I think it is".

The liquid rules might apply to creamed remains.
