CPH -TRIPS TO OTHER CITIES
 

Heading to CPH on 4th Aug. will be based there for the month. Stockholm is a definite trip, but I would like recommendations of other cities to visit from CPH within 4-6 hrs by train and worth the trip. I've heard the ferry to Oslo is a nightmare (drunken party people) so I think I'll pass. Should I go on to Helsinki from Stockholm and fly back to CPH. Just curious and looking for advise. thanks

Do you honestly believe that EVERY ferry trip to Oslo is filled with druken party folks?

Well I can't say that I really know if it's true or not as I've never been. Only going on info recieved when I inquired about this on another forum. 99% recommended not taking the ferry from CPH to Oslo as it was filled with the party crowd drunk or hungover. If you've had a different experience please fill me in. A few posters recommended bypassing Oslo altogether (but highly recommended other areas ie Bergen).

My neice had a study tour to Oslo a few months ago..she was in Copenhagen for the last year as a student. She just loved it, told her dad that Oslo was NOW her favorite city. Stockholm used to be. I cannot tell you anything from personal experience, never having been to Oslo, but anyway, you might want to look into it a little more before decising not to visit.

I haven't ruled it out completely, thanks. I may head south into Germany for a bit as it may be cheaper than Norway. Stockholm has always been a must see - so that's a definite.
