Countries welcoming vaccinated visitors

Add these countries to a growing list of tourists spots in Europe that are allowing vaccinated visitors to their country:

Croatia and Greece (and Israel and Nepal)
https://www.afar.com/magazine/travel...hese-countries

A complete list from the article is as follows:
  • Anguilla
  • Barbados
  • Belize
  • Croatia
  • Cyprus
  • Ecuador
  • Estonia
  • Republic of Georgia
  • Guatemala
  • Israel
  • Iceland
  • Montenegro
  • Nepal
  • Poland
  • Seychelles
  • Slovenia

You can add Turkey to this list as well as long as you're not coming from Denmark, the UK and South Africa.

I thought you could travel there from US if you had a negative test in the last three days?

Edit: nevermind it looks like that only applies to EU countries so no go from the U.S. currently

Cyprus is only welcoming people of any nationality and travelling from anywhere as long as they have been vaccinated in Israel or Cyprus. I'm sure countries will be added to that list. But currently thats how it stands. Negative PCR tests are needed before and after arrival if your country is on the red list which both UK & US are on.

https://cyprusflightpass.gov.cy/en/v...ted-passengers

There is alot of conflicing info on Turkey. Some sources say vaccination certificates will not be required, others say it is being considered. So I'd check with the Turkish authorities on that one.

Malta requires a negative PCR test regardless of vaccination status for all the amber countries which are the ones listed in one of the above posts.

Anguilla is quarantining visitors currently even if vaccinated.

Barbados requires a negative PCR test even if fully vaccinated.

I believe Greece is planning to accept vaccinated visitors but haven't read anything on their official website.

The official announcement has now been made. The US Embassy Athens website was updated yesterday. Check the Entry and Exit Requirements paragraph in:
https://gr.usembassy.gov/covid-19-information/

Note that US travellers must follow the same protocols as Greek citizens, which at the moment restricts travel between prefectures. That will probably change before summer.

Kleebat, even though Australians can theoretically travel to Malta, in actual fact we can’t as our international border is closed. We now have a bubble with New Zealand, but for Europe it probably won’t be until some time next year that we can travel there. Our vaccination program is proceeding very slowly and so that’s affecting when we can travel abroad.

Funny, I always thought of Belize as being a Central American country, not a Caribbean country. Has it cut itself loose from the continent?

I wonder if that is second dose or first? The disturbing thing here is many got the first vaccine and aren't showing up for second one. It makes it hard when a scheduled appointment is a no show. I had one lined up in another county till my county had a health worker day but sent email to cancel the original vaccine. Yay to Malta.

It may have stronger ties with what were British colonies in the Caribbean than with the rest of Central America because it is officially an English speaking country.
