A beach ride would be cool someday but I think I'd like to do that somewhere/sometime when it's warmer! I did find a racetrack near one of the places we'll probably stay that has a jump race. Not sure if that's the right name for it. Looks like what I would call steeplechasing? I don't think we have it in the US anywhere and I think that would be great to go to! There's even one with free admission for just a couple hours one afternoon. :)

Where are you thinking about watching the "steeplechasing", wtnc? in February that is the staple fair of most race tracks, along with hurdling.

I think you might be pleasantly surprised at the temperature on a nice sunny day in February Cornwall. but planning it might be a bit fraught as it would be difficult to guarentee the weather!
