Just a quick note to say it sounds like your getting your planning underway. Don't know if this helps but the raileurope.com/us/ is a site for train tickets and routes. The bus might be just as fast after looking at the map of the train from Seville to Malaga. You mention you are flying from NY are you going though Madrid could you take the train from madrid to Seville which would be the AVE. And then continue on. 2)Now for the airport and the train station. There is a train or computer that runs from the airport to the train station. You get off about a 1/2 block from the computer to the train station in Malaga. Hope this helps.
