Am looking for a nice relaxed place with great beaches to stay for 4 nights. Any suggestions? Marbella sounds very nice.

In an effort to be a bit more helpful than the previous two posters, I will tell you what little I have learned in planning for our fall trip to Spain. We will arrive in Malaga and want to spend a day or two relaxing before our trip through Andalucia. Marbella seems quite touristy and so we are planning to stop in Nerja, a bit east of Marbella. The Paraiso del Mar in Nerja is often highly recommended on this board. When are you going? I can be more helpful when we return in early October.

I vote for Nerja. We only stopped for lunch on our first trip and fell in love with it. Our second trip we had our kids along and cancelled our night in Ronda to add a 2nd in Nerja. We stayed at Hostel la Marissal, right next door to the expensive El Balcon. It was paces to the beach and right in the square across from the church and lots of great shopping. A great respite for a family of five that traveled all over Spain for almost three weeks.
