Costa de Sol location to get to Ronda

My husband and I will be in Southern Spain in two weeks. We will be renting a car after Sevilla. We will make our way down to Tarifa for two nights. After Tarifa, we plan on making our way up to the Costa de Sol for two nights. We want to make a day trip to Ronda as we are told this is a must see. Can you please let me know where is a good location to stay in the Costa de Sol where we can make a day trip to Ronda? Thank you.

Bellini,

Thank you for the response. Which town would you suggest Marbella or Mijas?

I'd just stay tweo nights in Ronda if I were you. Much more interesting. Costa del Sol is where people spend their entire holiday, in sunbathing, swimming, playing golf or tennis and for nightlife. But Ronda is packed with attractions, and you can visit other white towns as well.

Check a map, the road goes from west Marbella (San Pedro Alcantara) north to Ronda.
Mijas is a hill town over Fuengirola. It has a big coastal part named Mijas Costa.
