Cesar:

I've just returned from a trip o the Costa Brava a couple of weeks ago. Thanks to some excellent advice on this forum, my wife and I had a wonderful time. We had 4 days in Barcelona. Eat at "Maria Christina" downtown in the rambles area for a great splurge. We rented a car and left town on day 5. We went and stayed at the Parador in Cardona. It was nice, but a bit isolated. We went to Montserrat nearby (don't miss) and spent the day there (good museum too). Then out through the northern route up to S'Agaro and stayed at Hostal de La Gavina. Nice hotel (if a bit past it's prime). We spent the next few days at the ruins at Empuries up the coast a way (very interesting), and investigating the smaller coastal towns etc. We had the best Dinner ever at "El Buli" in "Roses" (up along the coast). If you can get reservations, this is something beyond food... it's the art of cooking/service to the apex! I really can't say enough about this restaurant. The following week we went to Mallorca island and stayed at Richard Branson's La Residencia in Deja. Another "WoW". What a great way to spend a week. Even if you have a little as a couple of long days available, I'd do it. We stayed in room 67 which has it's own pool, garden and kitchen. Very romantic place. I'd be happy to advise if you'd like more input.

Clay
