Costa Brava July 2022 Itinerary Help
 

I am planning on spending 4 nights in the Costa Brava region with my parents at the end of July. We will be coming from Perpignan by train/bus combo. We are thinking of Tossa de Mar as our home base. We would like to spend one day in Girona +/- Besalu and one day in Barcelona. We are planning to spend the rest of our time on the beach and exploring nearby towns. We do not plan on having a car in Costa Brava.

My questions are:
- is Tossa De Mar a good home base for this trip, or should we consider another location?
- Other recommendations for things to do during our time in the Costa Brava region
- Are we making a mistake by not renting a car for this portion of our vacation?
