Costa Brava - In 7 Days Suggestions
Hi
On Monday 31 August we are driving from Perpignan to Roses via Ceret and Amelie-les-Baines and staying there for 3 nights. On Tue we thought we would go to Figueres to see Dali musuem and Wed to Cadaques and Cap de Creus. The next 2 nights not booked and then onto Begur at Hotel Aigua Blava for 2 nights Sat & Sun. Please other suggestions for routes and places to visit ie pretty villages and drives and places to eat with views. I like the sound of places like Peratallada, La Bisbal, Pals, Empuries.
We would like to experience 1 or maybe 2 michelin star restaurants - one star but if there are other restaurants of note and of a reasonable price please provide comment. Our Australian dollar has dropped so much against the Euro that everything seems expensive now.
Thanks

Why Amélie-les-Bains? It is not a very interesting place
unless you want to drive on to Coustouges and down to Figueres on the main road? Or via Camprodon?
Via Coustouges : there is an excellent restaurant "Can Tenli" specializing in cod fish in Maçanet de Cabrenys.
Via Camprodon : Hostal Can Tiranda in Set Cases
In Figueres : Hotel President, expensive.
Cheap, no view but good food : Casa Pepe in Llers near Figueres. Incidentally they also own an excellent buffet-style cafeteria at Vilatenim, on the road to Rosas. It is in a shopping mall called Nou Center and very visible from the main road. Lunch is €13.80 (closed at night).
Restaurant "Compartir" in Cadaquès.

For lunch with a sea view, I would pick Calella da Palafrugell. I found the interior of the unusual town of Castello d'Empuries fascinating and charming. Can't help with Michelin stars and hesitate to restaurant recommendations because my trip was more than 5 years ago.
