Costa Brava/Catalonia
 

We are renting a car and have 2 unplanned days b/w a stay at the parador in Cardona and then Hostal Gavina. We are debating b/w driving to a town somewhere in Catalonia or going staight to the coast...maybe Cadaques. We will be there in June. Any recommendations on places to go for those 2 days or places to stay are much appreciated.

We loved the monastary at Monserrat and staying on the beach at Tossa de Mar. The Parador at Aiglabava[sp]was also a highlight. Good luck !

we were there just a couple of weeks ago. We stayed at the Parador Aiglabava (near Begur) as well as the Almadraba Park hotel in Roses, not too far from Cadaques. Both locations are spectacular, the hotel in Roses was a bit more superior than the Parador. You can't go wrong with either locations, but June is very busy there, so reservations should be made soon. Good Luck

Thanks for the responses. Bob, we are stopping at Monserrat on the way to Cardona. Danie, we looked at the Almadraba Park Hotel and the Aiglablava Parador, but unfortunately both are full. We made a reservation at Hotel Vistabella in Roses. Anyone know anything about this property? Also, any restaurant recommendations for Roses?
