Cost of Gatwick Express

Can anyone tell me if purchasing a pass for Gatwick Express from Gatwick to Victoria is more expensive if you do it once your there versus doing it online before you travel from US to England? Thanks.

A single express (2nd) class ticket is 14 GBP. There is no price break for buying it online in advance. The Gatwick Express does offer an up-to-four-for-the-price-of-two special (28 GBP for two, three, or four adults).

For one, two, or three adults, the cheapest way from Victoria to Gatwick is to take a Southern train. Only ten minutes slower and a ticket costs 9 GBP.

I pre-booked the GE for our September trip...I just googled for Gatwick Express discount codes and found some that worked for our dates...it came out cheaper than the other trains. I would only buy it ahead if you find such a deal.

There is no penalty for buying Gatwick Express tickets on board. They also take credit cards.

You pay 9 GBP also for the train from Gatwick to Farringdon or Kings Cross Thameslink, and for the journey to Charing Cross

Southern Trains also has a DaySave pass that costs £10 for one or £20 for up to four passengers.
