Cost of Bus from Athens Airport to Piraeus

We will be arriving in Athens next week and want to take the bus from the airport to Piraeus. Does anyone know what the cost is, and whether we need exact change? Is there somewhere to get change? Thanks!

The ticket for the bus is 2.90€. the terminal is at syntagma square.(airport-syntagma square) Then you have to get to the underground 0,70€ (blue line) and go to monastiraki station (one stop). Then get off the train from the blue line and take the green line (with the same ticket).

On the other hand, you can take the metro from the airport. When you reach Monastiraki station (it's a terminal for the blue line) take the green line to piraeus. I think it will cost you 6€

The bus is right outside the airport terminal as you come out. You need the E96 direct to Piraeus. It will drop you near the ferries. 2.90 euros.

You buy the ticket at a little kiosk right next to the bus. The man will give you change if you don't have it. Validate your ticket when you get on by stamping it in the machine on the bus. This ticket is also valid for 24 hours for travel within Athens.

Gertie3751, Thanks so much. That was exactly what I needed to know!
