Trish---
Just ignore the tilehead remarks; he (or she) is just a troublemaker. For my own choice, I would take Todi. It's a bit smaller than Cortona, which I like, and it has just as many pretty sights. It's one of my favorite hill towns. If you stay in Todi, however, you can still visit Cortona because it isn't that far away.

We chose Cortona simply because it seems a little larger so maybe a little more to do at night. We did opt to stay at Il Falconiere, just outside of Cortona for ease of getting in and out for day trips. Would imagine either choice will be great.

Trish stated elswhere that she'd be staying in Bevagna for 4 nights, and was wondering whether to stay in Montalcino or Montepulciano. Chances are, therefore, that Cortona's more interesting in terms of general geographic location.

I don't get it. I drove through Cortona and couldn't see the attraction.

To Wayne or anyone else knowledgeable:
re: tilehead-- is there no such place as ESDRITY? It sounded like a good idea and I was going to ask him for particulars. Help and clarification, please. Thanks. sam

to the top, please.

Kay: The attractions do not reveal themselves to one who merely drives through.
