Cornwall - last minute accommodation hell!
 

Hi All! <BR> <BR>The good news is that my Mom and I will be traveling through Cornwall later this month. The bad news is that it's August Bank Holiday - and I still haven't found a hotel or B&B for the Sunday night. <BR> <BR>We'd like somewhere (anywhere!) along the south coast; our Fri/Sat hotel and everywhere I've called is fully, totally *booked solid.* <BR> <BR>Anyone know agencies/websites for this, the busiest weekend of the year in Cornwall? Even lastminute.com is drawing a blank on this one - your suggestions will save our vacation, thanks! <BR>= ) T

Have you tried Stillwells at http://www.stilwell.co.uk/ <BR> <BR>If you type in the name of a town or village e.g. Fowey it will also give you towns and villages in the area. <BR>I'm surprised that everything is booked. Usually if you go to one of the tourist offices in the area you can find something.

Tracy: We were in Cornwall last Nov. Stayed in Penzance at a delightful, but simple B&B called Carnson House. If you go to www.chycor.co.uk/aaasrch/penzance.htm you can find most anything you need to know about Cornwall, including accomodations. We booked ours over the net and had good success. Hope this helps.
