Cordoba trip
 

We are taking the AVE train from Madrid to Sevilla for 3 days, then back to Madrid via Cordoba. The day we will be in Cordoba happens to be a Sunday. We want to do some sightseeing, especially La Mezquita. Does anyone know what the Sunday hours are for places like that? I can't seem to find that information anywhere. If we can't get into anyplace, it doesn't make sense to go there at all.
Also, any ideas for what to wear(March 19-26) as far as temperature? We will be in Madrid and Sevilla. Thanks.

On Sundays in March. the Mezquita-Cathedral is open 8.30 to 10.15 am and 2 pm to 7 pm. Entry: 8 euro.

Temperatures should be getting comfortably warm, around 60-70F during the day but can drop to 50F or below at night, so a light wrap or jacket would be needed.

Hi, owl - I just googled la mezquita, and found the opening hours on the official spanish tourist board web-site. On sundays, it's open for about 1 1/2 hours in the morning and then again on the afternoon.

Last weekend in Madrid, it was quite hot in the sun, but coolish out of it. WArmer in March, I would imagine.

Can we both be wrong?

We were in Cordoba on a Sunday and found it very crowded. I was afraid everyone was there to see La Mezquita but, fortunately, they didn't line up for tickets when it reopened in the afternoon. However, the restaurants were packed for lunch and we didn't make reservations in advance and ended up having our only terrible meal in the only restaurant that would take us. So if you plan to have lunch, reserve in advance!
