Cordoba or back to Sevilla or Madrid?

In the last minute throws of trip planning here.
Trying to figure out the last two days of a 10 day trip to Spain.
Here's what I have so far (all hotels booked through day 7)
Madrid-Days 1 and 2
Sevilla-Days 3 and 4
Granada-Day 5
Ronda-Day 6
Puerto Santa Maria (near Cadiz)-Day 7
Day 8??
Day 9-Needs to be in Madrid as we leave very early Day 10 from Madrid.

So, the quandry is; spend day 8 in Cordoba, go back to Sevilla, or Madrid a day early?
We planned on taking the train back to Madrid from either Cordoba or Sevilla. We will have a rental car for 2-3 days prior. We could also drive back to Madrid, but I remember this as being a fairly boring, long ride (and very expensive with current gas prices).

I'm not sure if Cordoba is worth the trip? There's always so much to see and do in Sevilla and Madrid. I should also mention this is not my first trip to Spain or most of these location (though I have not been to Cordoba before).

Thanks!

If you have not been in Cordoba before, then it surely worth the trip :) You can do day 8 in Cordoba, and day 9 in the morning head for Madrid and maybe do a day (or half day) trip from there.

The Mezquita in Cordoba is one of the most fascinating plaeces in Spain.

Have lunch at El Caballo Rojo, just a few steps away from the Mezquita: excellent Arab-influenced Andalusian cuisine.

Thanks. Do either of you have hotel recs for Cordoba? I've actually had a hard time finding a place that looks good for around 100 euro.
Currently considering Hotel Lola but I'm open to recommendations!

I don't know your dates but try www.bookings.es and look for Cordoba, they use to have good rates :)

You could actually do Cordoba as a day trip from Seville, but if you decide to stay over, we stayed at Conquistador Hotel and were very happy with it. You can book it (and others at very good rates) at bancotel.com or petrabax.com. Second the recommendation for El Caballo Rojo--it was excellent.

If you could, it would be easier to fly out of Malaga.

Have a great trip.
