Copenhagen train station baggage storage

There is a possibility that we will be in Copenhagen from 0800 to 2200. This is our first time in Copenhagen and wish to spend most of the day taking in the sights and walking between meals. We're coming off a cruise ship so we will have 1 large bag each. It would be perfect if there is a check baggage storage area at the train station since it is centrally located. Thanks for any ifo.

Yes there are baggage lockers of various sizes in Copenhagen station, but when i was there in Sept 2003 i had to scurry to find an open one - have Danish change in hand - lockers are for 24 hour periods - can usually leave longer but you pay per 24 hours. Lockers are in the basement at west end of station as i recall.

Thanks for the reply PalQ. Do you know if there is also storage at the airport?

No i do not. Would be surprised if there weren't. But the train trip from Kastrup Airport into main train station is just 15 minutes.

Yes, there is storage at the airport...
Ground floor across from the post office located in the airport. If your planning to go all the way to the airport, you could always see if they will check your luggage for you extreamly early.. Worst they can say is no...

Thank you.

Pal: isn't there also a left luggage room at the main rail station? Seems kinda silly to troop all the way out to the airport just because there aren't any lockers available.

Yes i believe there is (was) but it may have been full - it was two years ago and i remember feeling that if i didn't get the one locker luckily being vacated i would have to take my luggage with me - many people were waiting for lockers - this was in August, super busy time for Copenhagen and especially lockers as many young people use them. Can't quite remember whether manual left luggage was full. I don't think there would be a problem outside summer season.

The left luggage room was full???? Couldn't they stack it up to the ceiling for a little while (LOL)???

Thanks for replying to my question..just wanted the original poster to know there might be a viable, if not more expensive, alternative to self-serve lockers.
