Copenhagen Hotels - The Square

We have booked The Square Hotel in Copenhagen for a forthcoming trip. I am a little worried by the recent reviews on Trip Advisor which mentions a noisy nightclub next door.

I normally take reviews with a pinch of salt but this troubles me slightly. Anyone on here live in Copenhagen or visited within the past couple of weeks? Failing that, has anyone got a hotel recommendation if I do decide to change? I'm not interested in the big American chain hotels. Thanks.

Stayed there about 3 months ago. Have stayed before. Keep coming back as I find it a delightful place for a hotel in that category. Have never had any noise issues (except for a night about a year ago, when there was a Rock concert on Radhuspladsen - but even that was over by around 11 p.m. - and before I happily joined the crowd on the Square.
There are a few rooms that face a courtyard (a rather ugly one at that), but I could imagine that they might be the quietest. You would give up a view, though, if opting for one of those.

If I were you, I'd probably call the hotel and request a quiet room. They have very friendly staff and English is certainly not an issue with any of them.

I stayed there a few years ago and i have to say that that was one of my favorite hotels in Europe. It perfectly located, ultra sleek and has a fantastic breakfast buffet.

I don't remember any nightclub.

If you don't need to be in the heart of downtown, try the Avenue hotel, also called "A" Hotel. It's about a mile from the city center, at 29 Aboulevard. It's newly remodeled, with a great free breakfast buffet, lovely lobby, large patio and fluffy duvets. reasonably priced, and a friendly, English-speaking staff. The 250S bus stops outside the door, goes downtown!

Thanks everyone.

Richard, it says on Trip Advisor that the nightclub is new and has only been open for a few weeks. I think I will keep checking those reviews!

I have had good luck emailing this hotel, perhaps you can email them and voice your concerns. I am sure there are room which do not face the club.
