I have stayed at the Copenhagen Island Hotel, I think it is too far from the city centre. I liked the hotel but the rooms were very small. I have a car so for me it doesn't matter, but for a first time visit I would not recommend it. Once of your other choices will be better.
The Sheraton Stockholm is in a great location, have stayed there too. It is an average Sheraton, but what is lacks in character etc is made up for by the location.

Ok everyone thank you for the recommendations so far. I am on to Stockholm hotels now and I need some more info on the Radisson Blu Waterfront. It has good reviews on tripadvisor and the location seems great. Anyone else have feedback or has stayed there before?
I already have feedback on the Sheraton and a few others. Feedback on the following would be greatly appreciated!
Radisson Blu Waterfront
Stallmastaregarden Hotel (farther away but seems very nice)
Clarion Wellington
Clarion Sign
Courtyard Stockholm (Seems like a good value for location)
Thanks everyone!

Hi, we stayed at the Sheraton Stockholm, which is not on your list. It was not very expensive and was a fine hotel - not luxurious but clean and well designed. The room was actually quite large - I would equate it to a typical Sheraton in the US, if not larger. It was not right in the thick of things like maybe the Grand Hotel (which IS expensive!) but was a very short walk to Gamla Stan, Vasa and Skansen and was near the train station and a shopping district. They had a little café where you could purchase breakfast (buffet was not included but was pretty good if you did decide to sit down for a more leisurely breakfast). If you are just looking for a clean, convenient, inexpensive place to stay, I recommend it.
