"Cool" Children's Clothing Stores in Paris?
 

Going to Paris in a month and hope to find some clothing stores for my three, seven, and twelve year old children. Can anyone give some suggestions on stores that are fashionably "cool" for children? Not too fond of the pastels and ruffles. Something a bit different would be nice. I was in Paris last March and happen to come across Tati. I did love the clothes there and will go back but I am wondering if there is something else. Petit Bateau...what is it like?? How about Jacadi?? I've heard about Tati, also one called Zara. Could someone please tell me where these are located - will be there in April with 13-year-old daughter.

You may just come across them and they are wonderful. There are several on Rue Cler and the cross streets there. There is a teen sort of shop near Madeleine (very near Maxim's). Just don't know the names of any. Hard to resist. But one of the cutest things I saw was a hat for my 18 month old grandson (I just saw the hat)--but of course, in typical French fashion it had its own little neck scarf to go along with it!!

Zara is lovely and very in, I shopped there with my sister last time we went to Paris together though I think it's primarily aimed at late teen and early twenties. I believe Pimkie is also popular with teens, however the prices at both these chains are a world above those at TATI so be prepared.<BR><BR>We also passed a few branches of Jennyfer which seemed aimed at younger girls, and had some very pretty clothing in the windows.<BR><BR>Our niece is 13 and we found nothing in the teenage section of TATI but struck paydirt in the main women's section.

Petite Bateau are well made all cotton T shirts from baby to adult sizes.
