Cooking in Provence

My wife and I will be in Provence in September staying 1 week near Cannes and another in Bonnieux.

We would like to do a half day cooking class and/or wine tour/tasting.

Can we please have some recommendations. Merci.

For a cooking class, I highly recommend Janice Jacquet, who lives in Bonnieux. She offers personalized classes in a lovely environment. http://www.feteaccompliluberon.com/a_index.html

There are several good wineries right outside Bonnieux and you can stop for a tasting. You can get some ideas from this posting from our blog: http://www.slowtrav.com/blog/wood/archives/001018.html

Try the provenceweb site; a number of cooking classes were listed the last time I looked.

Rosa Jackson's cookery classes in Nice are great;

Maybe a bit late for Joe and Bea but good for whoever wants to do a cooking class this year: have a look at www.cuisinedeprovence.com - we took Barbara's class last year and are still cooking her recipes. It was great fun to cook in her kitchen and have lunch afterwards on her beautiful patio. We do recommend her!
