Cooking class in Italy - do you tip the instructor?
Hoping someone can help out with this question -
A friend is heading to Tuscany and has a hired a chef to come to their villa to teach a cooking class. These people (chef and English-speaking assistant) will help plan the menu, do all of the shopping, bring utensils if needed, teach how to make each course, clean up and leave the leftovers. It lasts about 6 hours. They are being charged 70E per person (6 people) for this class. Is a tip expected for this type of thing? If so, how much? I know in a restaurant, it isn't expected but you can leave a small tip if you want.
I took one of their classes a few years ago and it was a really fun experience and the chef was great but I didn't pay for it so not sure if a tip was given.
Thanks!
