converters and adaptors

hello all,
my mom, sis and i are headed to italy in less than two weeks (woohoo!) but i have a quick question about converters and adaptors. i have a dual voltage hairdryer, which can be switched from 125V to 250V. If I get an adaptor, will this work in Italy? Or do I need a converter, as well?

thanks!

The adaptor will do it. All you need to do is to flick the switch plug it into the wall/socket, and blow away. ((b))

I've found this website a good reference for these types of questions...hope it helps~

Have a great trip, Gina!

one more question ... i found adaptors that are two-pronged and three-pronged. they both say that they work in italy. should i buy both? or is one more common than the other?

thanks!

From this link, the GS-9 adaptor is the one you will need to plug into the wall in Italy. Additionally, the GS-20 has the grounds if you are going to use it anywhere around the kitchen. They are pretty inexpensive.
