Convent accommodation in Naples and Assisi - two budget options
 

There has been some discussion of convents in various cities in Italy. I'm not sure if these two have been discussed, but they look intriguing. I have no immediate plans to try them out, but I'm keeping them in mind for a possible future trip.

I inquired about the costs and heard back.

Note that this order has convent accommodation all over the world. Among others they also have a convent in Rome, which has been mentioned here. The location in Piazza Farnese is perfect, but a single room is 96 Euros - taking it out of the budget category in my opinion.

The email I got says that a single room with half-board is 48 Euros per day.

The email information I got is a little confusing, but it seems quite cheap in any event:
"The cost for the accomodation in the single
room is ? 40.00 per day for bed and break fast.We serve also lunch and dinner for the cost of ? 10.00 for each. The cost for the single room is ? 35.00 for bed and breakfast."

If anyone could comment on the convenience of these locations, I would appreciate it. The Naples convent got very good marks in a recent review on the Rick Steves board, which is what led to this research.
