Context Rome - €5 "In the Public Interest" tours...

Very cool. Just got an email from Context Rome that they are offering 6 of these throughout the summer/fall. If you're in Rome...

Still need to make a reservation. But sounds great.

I've just bookmarked this site for our 2013 adventure. Thanks, sarge56!

I just got my e mail from them too. What a great idea! Justin case anyone needs a reco I did 2 tours with them on my last visit to Rome & was very happy with my guides. Very knowlegeable and worth the money.

Class organization.

Me too, Dayle. Loved my tours with their guides.

Cool idea to encourage tours of lesser known sights to relieve congestion at the major sights. I would jump on these if I was there. DH and son took a Context tour and loved it!

There is one tour a month like this. They really don't give details of what is included or time for the tour. Does anyone have a way to get more information?

Dayle Mar 17th, 2012 07:38 AM

AJ,

If you click on the link sarge provided above, it gives more info. It looks to me like each walk is 1.5 hours and a different site is scheduled for each walk. Very interesting!

If you have further questions, e mail Context. They are very helpful and professional, respond quickly.

enjoy!

For those that Context's once a month won't work, I think some of those sites aren't off limits. and can be accessed at other times.

I think the underground at St. Celia can be accessed anytime during their open hours.

The Pyramid of Cestius can be booked on the Pierreci website.

Thanks for posting this, Sarge. I signed up for their May tour. There are 4 places left, by the way.
