Connections at CDG

We Will be arriving at CDG (from USA) at terminal 2E and connecting to MRS out of terminal 2F. Will we go trough customs at CDG or only immigration control? Will we need to go through security again at terminal 2F or do we remain in the "secure area"? I am reading much conflicting information on the internet and would really appreciate some advice. Thank you so much in advance,

You will definitely go through Immigration at CDG and need to go through security again at the next gate. Your luggage should be sent straight to your final destination (but do confirm this with your airline and make sure that the luggage is tagged to the correct final airport).

Yes, you will go through immigration and security. You probably won't go through customs anywhere, although the authorities reserve the right to do so. Passengers from the USA are not currently considered a major smuggling risk.

You go through customs if you, personally, decide you should , no one makes you (they give you the card on the plane to fill out and it says when you need to). There is very little reason an avg tourist would have to go through customs, you have to be bringing in a lot of something.

I've never been through "customs" in France and I've been traveling there over 20 years.

if your cases are ticketed to final destination you will not be taking THEM through customs. Signage has improved greatly at CDG. Just follow your terminal sign.
