connecting to internet at internet point
is it hard to connect to the internet from an internet point in a cafe; how low do you use all your time logging on to the internet
|
About 15 seconds from the time I sit down by an available computer.

This has to be the only thread where people will post - "I have done it in 10 seconds"

Not really sure about the second part of your question, but the answer to the first part - should be very easy, provided that your laptop has wireless capability.
In 99.9% of my experiences, all I had to do was open the web browser and if there was a wireless provider available, it either connected me to my homepage (if it was free) or to the front page of the provider with explanation and a link to "purchase" time. Once the time was purchased, then you just click on any bookmarked page or type in any web address you want and surf...... |
Well, wombat, I'll have to get things started then, but it just might have taken me under 10 seconds to connect to the internet in an internet point in Europe.

I intend to use my wifi enabled pda to keep up with the family back home ! Nice and small, and will act as a phone as well for real emergencies.
